World Art Dubai 2017
Since 2007 Dubai, United Arab Emirates, hosts the “International Art Fair Dubai”, the Middle East largest exhibition of Contemporary Art. Owned and managed by Art Dubai Fair FZ LLC (The Art Dubai Group).
The 2017 edition counts on Myrna Ayad as Director of the Fair.
This year will be the 11th edition of this exhibition that with no doubt became a milestone event in the world of Art lovers with an year by year exponential growth of audience composed not only by local collectors, but also by the international public and press.
Between the 15th and the 18th of March, at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre, 92 galleries will introduce more than 500 artists coming not only from the Middle East, but from all over the world; to be precise, 44 countries will be represented at the fair.
The distinctive tract of Art Dubai is that it features a program that separate galleries in “Contemporary”, with the presence of 72 galleries and “Modern”, represented by 15 galleries.
As if there were not enough options, visitors can also participate to “The Global Art Forum” entitled this year as “Trading Places”.
The purpose of 2017 edition is to explore the relationship between the economy of goods and the ideas that constantly shape who and where we are, bringing up topics like history, economics, philosophy, urbanism, literature, media, language, historiography, technology and futurity.
All these themes will be approached by renowned artists, curators, museum directors, filmmakers, novelists, historians, technologists, entrepreneurs, editors, musicians and performers.
The combination of each of these elements has made Art Dubai a good opportunity to discover new artists, galleries and emerging trends.
